well reacently i just downloaded project reality mod for bf2 and it was 3.33GB. Before i the download my harddrive mem(OS.) was 133 free of 222. The first time i did it my dad STOPED the download.The secont time i didnt extract and file and i had to restart cuz my cpu was 97% so it was lost i looked every were i saved the file address and it said file addres did not exist. The third time i extracted it and it wouldnt install i know y and as i was going to put the version file its sopost to go in, i checked my OS and it said 114 free of 222 so i deleated it and them my OS was 120 free of 222. MY question is were is the rest of my mem the other 13; so PLS HELP? P.S. fuzels tryed everything he knew so did tosen.
My guess is if you have Vista, it is stored as a hidden file. If not then I would try a disk clean up; to do this go to Start, Computer, Right Click C Drive(OS), Properties, Disk Cleanup under the first tab. Try those and see what happens. Good Luck!
okay first off..you DLed it twice..the first tiemn failed but it was nearly done soo you probly had about a gig of it..soo thats one gig..next you extracted the downloaded file soo now thats 2 gigs..next it creates temp files during extracting soo thats more space..also its a zipped file soo a gig zip may be close to 2 gigs unzipped lol..plus you DLed it 3 times soo thats about 3-4 gigs..than extracted one of them which is like 6 gigs your up to..plus you isntalled the .exe soo thats more space it used now..add it all up its about 12 gigs probly..but anyway im sure tosen and fuzzy already figured all that out already hence me posting this is a waste of time.. [
well imagine i was going to talk to u but u were not on,but wait when i extracted the file 2 extracted files showed up both the same so i exited out of it and looked for the other1 that was not saved . So i didnt find it but when i came back to the extracted file the second copyed 1 was gone so thats y i missing some gigs the otherone is still in their so im going to try kilroys idea.
